The Team Outing
Nobody Dreads.
Give colleagues a shared experience beyond the meeting room. Plan team bonding, employee appreciation or client entertainment around timed racing on our half-mile outdoor track in Shelbyville. Choose individual racing for a relaxed outing or a coordinated format for a team-building event, then add the meeting, food and awards details your group actually needs.
WHY MCK.
Team Building Or Team Bonding
Practice and qualifying give colleagues a shared challenge before a race. For a more collaborative format, ask about Corporate Endurance with shared karts, driver changes and team strategy. A relaxed rental outing works when the goal is simply time together.
Employee Appreciation And Client Entertainment
Build the schedule around the people attending. Include time to welcome clients or recognize employees, and give non-racing guests a place in the plan rather than assuming everybody will drive.
Plan The Headcount
Sprint and Grand Prix packages start at 12 weekday guests or 15 weekend guests. The facility can host up to 200 guests, with larger groups rotating through planned sessions. Confirm driver counts, spectator counts and the indoor seating plan separately.
Make Branding An Intentional Extra
Leaderboard branding, custom trophies, swag bags, photography and video are optional services. Request the items you want so the coordinator can confirm availability and itemize the charges.
Meeting Space And A/V
The optional 2,500 sq ft event space seats around 80 indoors. A mic, screen and projector are listed event options. Share your presentation format, equipment and connection needs so the team can confirm setup, timing and charges before the event.
A Shelbyville Destination
Send attendees to 3225 Hwy. 231 North, Shelbyville, TN. Build travel time into the invitation, check traffic before departure and coordinate transportation if the group is arriving from several offices.

START TO PODIUM.
Example agenda: arrive for check-in, waivers, helmet fitting and the safety briefing. Confirm the arrival time with the coordinator; ordinary rental guests should allow 30 minutes before racing.
In the Grand Prix format, practice introduces the circuit and qualifying sets the grid. Sprint has practice or qualifying instead of both.
Grand Prix finishes with a 12-lap race. Group size and kart availability determine the session plan. Shared-kart endurance is a separate format to discuss if team strategy is the priority.
Finish with the podium, then use separately arranged room time for a presentation, employee recognition or a meal. Branding, trophies, catering and A/V are optional additions, not automatic inclusions.

What Groups Say.
“A quick thank you to you and your staff for hosting our annual team building event. The venue was perfect!! Your staff made planning for the event easy, and you took care of everything. The race kart venue fit perfectly into our plan/agenda for the day and all my staff was excited about racing. Many months later they are still talking about it. I look forward to visiting again in the future.”
“My team and I really enjoyed the racing at Music City Kartplex. The track will test your racing skills and the karts are fast. The meeting space was great, the lunch setup was great. Best of all is the staff. Jeffrey and Lucas are awesome to work with, they made sure everything was taken care of. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it for a team building event or just for taking the kids out for some great racing.”
“We had a fantastic experience hosting our team event at Music City Kartplex. From the moment we arrived, your staff made everything easy, organized, and genuinely fun. What stood out most was the team's reaction. We had a mix of personalities and comfort levels with racing, but everyone got competitive quickly and fully engaged. It broke down barriers, sparked a lot of laughter, and created the kind of shared experience that's hard to replicate in a typical team setting. People were still talking about their lap times and race strategy days later. The overall impact was exactly what we hoped for; stronger connections, high energy, and a memorable event that felt different from the usual corporate outing. I'd confidently recommend Music City Kartplex to any company looking for a fun, well-run, and genuinely impactful team event.”
How large a corporate group can you host?
Sprint and Grand Prix packages start at 12 guests on weekdays and 15 on weekends. Facility capacity is up to 200 guests; the optional indoor event space seats around 80. Tell us how many people will drive, spectate and attend the meeting so the coordinator can plan rotations and seating.
What should the planner include in an inquiry?
Send the preferred date, driver and spectator counts, arrival and finish times, event purpose, room needs and budget. Include food, accessibility and presentation requirements so the coordinator can confirm the details and optional charges.
Can we hold a meeting or presentation?
Yes, optional event space and A/V can be requested. The listed A/V option includes a mic, screen and projector. Confirm connections, equipment, seating and time needed with the team; room and A/V selections are requests. Only payment holds a date.
What is Corporate Endurance?
A separate team format in which colleagues share karts and manage driver changes and pit strategy. The published format starts at 40 guests. Ask the coordinator about suitability, availability and pricing for your group.
Should I build an estimate or contact the team?
Use the estimate builder when you know your date, headcount and preferred format. Contact the events team first for a buyout, shared-kart format, complex meeting schedule or a smaller group needing private space. An estimate or submitted inquiry does not hold a date. Only payment holds a date.
How much lead time is required?
Coordinated events require at least 15 days notice. Your coordinator confirms the available date, terms and payment arrangements. Ordinary rental sessions use the live booking schedule instead of the group-event lead time.
